7th Annual China Airport Summit

Noppen hosted the 7th Annual China Airport Summit in Shanghai, on the 29th-30th of March 2012. Attended by over 170 prominent industry leaders, senior directors and engineers from international and domestic airports, top design institutes, construction groups, engineering companies and major Airport Equipment Production Bases, this summit illustrated China’s newest industrial policies, advanced technology solutions for airport growth, project management, and the most up-to-date progress reports on major projects in China.
Keynote speakers at the event were: GUO Xiaobei, Director and Researcher, Comprehensive Transportation Research Institute, National Development & Reform Commission, who introduced integrated transport systems and the development of civil aviation; Young-geun LEE, Executive Vice President, Incheon International Airport Corporation, who gave an overview of the Incheon International Airport past and corrent status, introduced Incheon Airport‘s impact on the economy and their future plan; Eugene GAN, Depurty Chief Executive Officer, Changi Airports International, who introduced the Singapore Changi Airport experience on development of Air Hub; Micheal EGGENSCHWILER, Chief Executive Officer, Hamburg Airport, who introduced how to achieve sustainability of the Hamburg airport, KONG Yue, Commercial Director, Beijing Capital International Airport, who introduced how to improve flight punctuality from Beijing Capital International Airport’s view; DONG Guiguo, President, HNA Airport Group, who introduce building the world’s Superior Airport Investment and Operations Management.
Industry leaders introduced their most up-to-date technology information. David WANG, Technical Director, Verint provided the actionable intelligence solutions to help airports face security challenges. Ashraf WASSEF, Global Concept Director Infrastructure, Jotun Paints,introduce the high performance green coatings for airport.
Other speakers included Dieter A. HEINZ, President, German Airport Technology & Equipment; DING Yonglian, Senior Specialist Engineer, Airport Technology Group, Boeing; TANG Congyuan, Director, Guangxi Civil Aviation Airport Authority; General Manager, GuangXi Airport Group; XU Yong, Vice President, Nanjing International Airport; Yoga HUO, Marketing Manager, Harting; MU Lan, China Representative, Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and Colonel Cameron TORRENS, Air ATTACHE, Embassy of the United States of America. Speaker ZUO Limin, Vice General Manager of Planning & Development Department, Hubei Airport Group Company noted that they were “very impressed with the entire conferences organization and also that the congress had a good cross section of attendees”.
