Addis Ababa Hotels Owners Association (AHA) was established in 1997 as a non-profit employers association under the name Ethiopian Hotels and Restaurants Employers Association. Its founders goals were to establish an association that would support the industry with the highest quality services and resources available. However, due to the enourmous changes in the past decade, the Association members felt that the need for it to revamp, anticipating and meeting the growing and changing needs of its members and the city.
For this specific reason, the Association is reenacted and rebrandedin the year 2012. The new Addis Ababa Hotels Owners Association is governed by a 7 member Board of Directors. AHA is set to represent the collective industry interests of member hotels in Addis Ababa on a variety of public affairs and governmental matters.
